We leapt at the opportunity to provide blanks for carving these installations on our much-loved Mauao.

Starting with sketches from Law Creative, we designed and manufactured laminated Accoya timber that could be securely fixed in the ground.

Utilizing our lathe, bandsaw and routers, these pieces were sculpted in the factory ready for the artistry to be applied.

Accoya was chosen for the timber blanks because it is easy to carve and highly durable for the high exposure level at this beachside location. We constantly monitor the pieces every time we walk the Mount and are yet to see any deterioration of the structures.
